Norfolk State University

Duke Drubs Norfolk State, 95-48
Alana Beard scored 29 points to lead six Duke players in double figures as the top-seeded Blue Devils beat No. 16 seed Norfolk State 95-48 in the East Regional on Friday. The Blue Devils (28-3), who won a school-record 19th consecutive game, advanced to Sunday's second round to face eighth-seeded Texas Christian. The Lady Frogs beat ninth-seeded Indiana 55-45 earlier Friday. The Blue Devils had little trouble, racing to a 28-2 lead and leading by as many as 55. Suawanna Taylor scored 17 points to lead the Spartans, making their NCAA tournament debut.
