Northeast Conference Tournament: Retrievers Find Way Through Robert Morris Peter Mulligan and Kareem Washington each scored 20 points to lead Maryland-Baltimore County to an 85-76 victory over Robert Morris on Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Northeast Conference tournament. The third-seeded Retrievers (20-8) advanced to Saturday's semifinals and will play seventh-seeded Quinnipiac, which beat Wagner 87-78. Over the final 6{ minutes of the first half and the opening 7{ minutes of the second half neither team had more than a four-point lead. But UMBC, which had won 10 of 11 games, went on a 10-0 run that broke a 49-49 tie and the Colonials (12-18) were never closer than seven points the rest of the way.
